The Auburn Tigers took an early 7-0 lead against the Arkansas Razorbacks. However, after wide receiver Cam Coleman left the field, things started to take a downturn for the Tigers’ offense. They are currently 21-10 town following a pick 6.
Coleman scored the only TD of the game so far before leaving the pitch as the Tigers look to pull off a significant conference victory over the 2-5 Razorbacks.
What Happened to Auburn Receiver Cam Coleman?
On3’s Sports’ Pete Thamel recently gave an update on the star receiver at the end of the first quarter. Coleman has recorded 30 receptions for over 400 yards this season. He caught his second TD of the season against the Razorbacks.

“Auburn star WR Cam Coleman down with what appears to be a right ankle/foot injury. He was tended by trainers and limped off the field.” Thamel revealed.
This season, according to PFSN’s wide receiver rankings, the injured Auburn player is the 131st-best player nationally. With an impact rating of 76.7, he is behind his teammate, Eric Singleton Jr. Singleton Jr currently ranks 31st nationally with an 80.4 impact rating.
Auburn’s only touchdown of the game up to this point came from a phenomenal grab by Coleman. After a deep pass, the receiver managed to beat his man in on one coverage for a 23-yard touchdown grab.
“Cam Coleman = future Sunday WR.” PFSN’s own Chief Analytics Officer, Cam Mellor, wrote the following after the touchdown. The Auburn receiver will be eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft, while his teammate Singleton Jr. is expected to enter the 2026 draft.
After entering the tent, a video emerged of Coleman attempting some things on the sidelines. While he looked to be back on his feet, he has yet to return to the game. The Tigers struggled without his return to the game.
UPDATE: Coleman returned to the field during the last stretch of the game. However, this was not in a full capacity, and the receiver will most likely be monitored going into next week’s clash against the Kentucky Wildcats.
After throwing two incomplete passes to Singleton Jr, the Tigers had to punt the ball away. In the play after, the Razorbacks scored a touchdown, followed by a Jackson Arnold pick 6, allowing the Razorbacks to take a significant lead.
Despite missing one of their top receivers for a significant amount of time, Auburn managed to pull off the victory. With Singleton Jr and running back Jeremiah Cobb, who rushed for over 150 yards, leading the Tigers to a comeback 33-24 victory.
