Who Will Guide Fans Through 49ers-Falcons on NBC?

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Mike Tirico
  • Color Commentator: Cris Collinsworth
  • Sideline Reporter: Melissa Stark

NBC’s primetime coverage kicks off with Football Night in America at 7:00 p.m. ET, leading into the Steelers-Packers matchup at 8:20 p.m. ET. Fans will be treated to one of the most popular broadcast trios in sports television, calling all the action.

Mike Tirico will continue as the lead play-by-play announcer, bringing his signature polish and big-game experience to the Sunday night stage. A fan favorite, Tirico is known for his insightful commentary and his ability to engage the late-evening NFL audience. His voice has become synonymous with high-stakes prime-time football.

Tirico spent nearly a decade as a play-by-play announcer on ESPN’s Monday Night Football from 2006 to 2015 before moving to NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Beyond football, he has covered the Olympics, World Cup soccer, NBA, NHL, college sports, golf, tennis, and even the Indy 500. If it’s a major sporting event, Tirico has likely called it.

Joining him in the booth is Cris Collinsworth, who is in his 17th season as a color analyst for Sunday Night Football. A former wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, Collinsworth made three Pro Bowls in his eight-year career and has earned 17 Emmy Awards across HBO, FOX, and NFL Network. While he sometimes receives criticism for being repetitive, Collinsworth’s chemistry with Tirico is undeniable.

On the sidelines, Melissa Stark connects viewers to everything happening beyond the main action. More than just reporting injuries or scores, she provides context and human stories that unfold throughout the night. With over 25 years in sports broadcasting, Stark’s poise and clarity ensure fans stay engaged with every moment.

For radio coverage, the Packers Radio Network will feature Wayne Larrivee as the play-by-play announcer, while two-time Packers Pro Bowler Larry McCarren will serve as the analyst and three-time Packers Pro Bowler John Kuhn as the sideline reporter.

The Steelers Audio Network, meanwhile, will feature Rob King as the play-by-play announcer, while two-time Steelers Super Bowl champion Max Starks will serve as the analyst, and Missi Matthews as the sideline reporter.
