Sebastian Korda vs Ugo Humbert Preview: Head-to-Head and Prediction for Swiss Indoors 2025

Sebastian Korda and Ugo Humbert will lock horns in the opening round of the Swiss Indoors.

Playing an injury-filled season, Sebastian Korda will look to get his campaign at the Swiss Indoors off to a nice start as he takes on Ugo Humbert in the first round. Korda has not played much this season, playing just over 30 matches, but has reached one hard-court final in Adelaide and had a semifinal run at the Winston-Salem Open. Before Basel, he had a decent run at the Stockholm Open before losing in the quarterfinals.

Humbert has not had the best of seasons in 2025 either, having won 22 out of 41 matches so far, most notably winning the Open 13 Provence in Marseille. Like Korda, the Frenchman  also most recently competed at the Stockholm Open and reached the final before losing to Casper Ruud.

Korda vs. Humbert Head-to-Head

Korda vs. Humbert Prediction

Sebastian Korda has reached seven hard-court finals in his career, winning his title on the surface at Washington last year. Three of these seven title clashes came on indoor hard courts.

Meanwhile, Humbert has been to nine hard-court finals, six of which have come on the indoor courts, where the Frenchman has won four titles, including back-to-back titles in Marseille. The World No. 24’s sole Masters 1000 final came on the surface at last year’s Paris Masters.

In the one match that Humbert and Korda played, the Frenchman won 68% of the service points and 40% of the return points. Humbert won over 70% of the points and played well under pressure, saving seven of the eight break points against Korda. On the other hand, the American could only win 60% and 32% of the service and return points, respectively, getting broken four times in the match.

A lot of the upcoming match might depend on Korda’s fitness, as the American player has been suffering from injuries of late. However, Humbert is in fine form, coming on the back of the Stockholm final, and will be the slight favorite to win the upcoming match as well.

Prediction: Humbert to win in three sets
