The NFL season is in full swing. As happens every year, injuries are rearing their ugly heads. As fantasy football managers prepare to set Week 7 lineups, it’s important to stay informed on the latest injury news. Stefon Diggs missed some practice time this week due to injury. What is his current status and outlook for this week?
Is Stefon Diggs Playing Week 7?
Update: Diggs is officially active in Week 7.
Diggs appeared on Wednesday’s practice report as a limited participant due to a chest injury, marking his first injury designation since recovering from the torn ACL that ended his 2024 season early. The veteran receiver has been remarkably durable throughout the 2025 campaign, playing in every game without any health concerns until now.
The chest injury appears to be a new development, as Diggs showed no signs of discomfort during Sunday’s contest and was not listed on any previous injury reports this season. The nature of chest injuries in football can range from minor bruising to rib-related issues, though the specific details of Diggs’ condition have not been disclosed by the Patriots.
Diggs remained limited in Thursday’s practice session, continuing the same restricted participation level from the previous day. While full involvement would have been preferable, his ability to practice suggested the team wasn’t overly concerned about the chest issue’s severity.
However, Friday brought encouraging news when Diggs was upgraded to full participation in the final practice session of the week. The progression from limited to full practice represents positive movement and strongly indicates he is ready for game action against the Tennessee Titans.
Despite his full Friday practice, the Patriots have officially listed Diggs as questionable for Sunday’s contest. Head coach Mike Vrabel indicated that Diggs would receive the questionable designation due to the chest injury that restricted his participation throughout the week.
Chest injuries are usually not anything serious in football terms, typically involving minor bruising or discomfort rather than structural damage. Given Diggs’ upgrade to full practice participation on Friday, he is fully expected to play against the Titans.
Fantasy managers should not be concerned about Diggs’ availability for Sunday’s game. The 31-year-old receiver is not at risk of missing this week’s contest based on his practice progression and the minor nature of chest-related issues in football.
Diggs’ Fantasy Football Outlook
After back-to-back 100-yard games, Diggs’ stat line fell flat against the Saints, earning just three targets and picking up 28 yards in the victory.
It’ll be OK.
You didn’t draft Diggs thinking you had a weekly asset, and you probably don’t, but he’s going to be in the mix, and as Drake Maye continues to improve exponentially, the door is certainly open for more.

The veteran wide receiver had a big catch late in the game taken off the board due to a questionable OPI call, and while the yards didn’t count, it was good to see Maye looking his way in a big spot.
Vintage Diggs probably never graces an NFL field again, but in this offense without a clear-cut top option, he’s got a chance to be a flex you feel reasonably good about on a consistent basis.
I’ll have him ranked higher when I project more volume for this passing game: they aren’t going to be seven-point road favorites too often.
