‘Joe Flacco Still Helping Ravens’ — Fans Celebrate As Baltimore Legend Keeps Ex-Team’s Playoff Hopes Alive With Steelers Upset

The Baltimore Ravens caught a big break with the Steelers' loss on Thursday night. Ravens fans thanked Joe Flacco for keeping their season alive.

The Baltimore Ravens caught a huge break with the Cincinnati Bengals upsetting the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-31 on Thursday Night Football. The Steelers had a chance to create separation from the rest of the pack in the AFC North and go up 3.5 games, but instead, the Bengals are 1.5 back, and the Ravens have some semblance of life. Lamar Jackson will be coming back soon, and they are getting healthier.

Ravens fans took to social media to express their gratitude and their glimmer of hope for the remainder of the season.

Why Did Ravens Fans Celebrate the Pittsburgh Defeat?

The Ravens are sitting at the bottom of the AFC North at 1-5 with the Cleveland Browns. They had some tough losses to great teams early in the season and then lost Jackson to injury. If they get healthy and find their best form, they have a sliver of hope after the Bengals helped keep Pittsburgh within reach.

Ravens fans were very thankful for Cincinnati giving them hope and took to social media to thank the Bengals.

Flacco spent 11 seasons with Baltimore and won a Super Bowl for the Ravens. On Thursday, he did them yet another favor.

“Joe Flacco still helping the Ravens,” said one fan.

“We just watched Joe Flacco torch and walk down the Steelers in elite fashion. A tale as old as time,” added another fan.

The Ravens are within reach as they sit only three games behind the Steelers with 11 games to go. It’s not ideal, but it is possible, especially with Jackson returning soon and the teams are set to square off twice later in the season.

“The Ravens are just 3 games out from first place in the AFC North with Lamar Jackson returning after the Bye. This season is FAR from over,” said one fan.

Another fan chimed in on the great news for Baltimore.

“The Ravens were the big winner tonight. Only 3 games back now and the Steelers enter the most difficult part of their schedule,” said the fan.

The Ravens may not be in prime position, but the schedule gets easier and they should be healthier out of the bye week. If they can get hot, there’s no ruling the Ravens out of making a run at a postseason berth and even the AFC North division title, if the Steelers flounder with a tougher schedule coming up.
