Bengals Superstar Ja’Marr Chase Boldly Guarantees a Super Bowl Title for Cincinnati

Despite a brutal start to the season, Ja'Marr Chase hasn't given up his dreams of getting a Super Bowl championship to the city of Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Bengals were hoping to buck a worrying trend from the last two years. Despite employing one of the most expensive offenses in the league, the team had missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons. A 2-0 start, the first under head coach Zac Taylor, would have given them some hope. But a turf toe injury that is going to keep Joe Burrow out for three months at a minimum washed away any excitement.

Since then, the team has been struggling massively, getting outscored by over 50 points in their last two games with Jake Browning as their quarterback. Amid the struggle, an interview dropped for superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who isn’t backing down from the challenge just yet, going so far as to guarantee a Super Bowl for his city.

Can Ja’Marr Chase Turn It Around?

Since coming into the league, Chase has been widely regarded as one of the two or three best wide receivers in the entire sport. With a Pro Bowl selection in each year of his career, he’s continued to elevate his game each season.

Last year, he took the Triple Crown title, leading the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17). However, the 2025 season has been one to forget for him through four games.

With just 264 yards and one touchdown, he has been far from his usual explosive self. Barring an explosion against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, he has less than 100 yards in the other three games combined.

For a player who signed a four-year deal that made him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history this offseason, the production hasn’t been up to the mark. But the two-time All-Pro isn’t willing to give up on his team just yet.

During an appearance on “Cold as Balls” alongside Kevin Hart, he was asked about the feeling of making it to the Super Bowl in his first season in the league, as Hart joked that he gave Cincinnati a football pulse in ages.

Responding, Chase said, “I think just bringing something to Cincinnati is incredible. I don’t know if you talking all this bad stuff about Cincy, but the people are incredible. They are very good people there.”

That’s when he went out on a limb to make a guarantee. “We gonna definitely bring a championship to Cincy, man. We’re close, we’re biting our nails trying to get it.”

That dream becoming a reality in the 2025 season feels like a stretch. The team is 2-2, and Browning has been among the worst quarterbacks in the entire league. Until they pull the trigger on a trade and it works out, losing Burrow for three months could have been the beginning of the end for the Bengals.
