A.J. Brown Sends Blunt Message to Eagles’ Offense as Frustrations Boil Over

A.J. Brown sends a message to the Eagles' offense after they haven’t been their dominant selves, despite their 4-0 start to the 2025 season.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 4-0 with wins over tough squads. The offense hasn’t fully clicked in 2025, and A.J. Brown let his thoughts out on social media. He wasn’t happy about how uninvolved he’s been in the offense and how the passing game has struggled. The Eagles didn’t complete a pass in the second half of their game against the Buccaneers but still held on for the win.

The Eagles can’t expect to get away with that production often, and Brown sent an honest message to the offense.

What Did A.J. Brown Say About the Eagles’ Offense?

Brown knows the offense isn’t at its best right now. The defense and special teams are playing well and are mostly responsible for the hot start. He’s experiencing the offensive struggles firsthand and has been a non-factor so far. He knows what he can offer and wants the ball.

“I see that we’re struggling, and I’m a guy that wants the ball in those times. When we can’t find a way, give it to me. When the game is on the line, give the ball to me,” said Brown.

He emphasized it’s not about personal accolades or stats. He wants to win and is frustrated when he feels he isn’t helping the team do that. He’s embracing the pressure that comes with trusting him to help the offense out of its ruts and get the team back in rhythm.

Following Sunday’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brown sparked attention online after sharing a Bible verse that read: “If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”

Brown was apologetic for the post, acknowledging he was frustrated and should be more careful with his actions.

Brown has three 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his three years in Philadelphia, but he’s behind that pace in 2025. Through four games, he has 14 catches for 151 yards. He’s not the only player off to a slow start — Saquon Barkley has yet to reach last season’s standard, and DeVonta Smith has only 158 receiving yards.

The offense has done enough to win, helped largely by special-teams scoring and favorable field position. They need to get their top weapons going because if they do, it could be trouble for the rest of the NFL. Being 4-0 with plenty to improve and another gear to hit is a great spot, and fans will be eager to see if they can find that next level with Brown, Smith, and Barkley producing.
