Nadal recently shared a video on X, where he is seen participating in a golf session with Federer. The video, filmed in Mallorca, showcased the adorable bond between the two tennis legends. The Swiss legend extended a cheeky description while Nadal prepared to take a shot.

“Hello everybody, from the golf course here in Mallorca. I wish you all the very best for the Ryder Cup and Team Europe. We are behind you, and maybe in the future, we will have a new player on the team,” Federer said.

After witnessing Nadal’s shot, Federer changed his opinion with a teasing remark, saying:

“Well that thing may wait a couple more years.”

Fans flocked to the comments section of the video, with one fan remarking on their journey from being on-court rivals to becoming friends. “From opponents to besties…. Messi and Ronaldo should copy this.”

Another fan expressed their desire to see a behind-the-scenes clip of the hilarious interaction between the two tennis legends.

Another fan admired that despite being great friends, the two were seen indulging in a competitive golf session for fun memories: “Best of friends, still competing against each other for more meaningful rewards.”

With a combined 42 Grand Slam titles, Federer and Nadal share one of tennis’s most celebrated friendships, built not just on rivalry but also on respect and mutual admiration. Over the years, the “Fedal” dynamic has become a fan favourite, with fun moments off court, occasional doubles pairings, and the unmistakable chemistry between two legends.

Taking this forward to a new level, Federer recently stirred excitement by dropping a subtle yet potent hint about a possible collaborative venture with Nadal. Speaking ahead of the Laver Cup, Federer said, Maybe we could create something like the Fedal Tour.”

He added with a light laugh, “I love Rafa. I played four hours of tennis the other day here in San Francisco, and another hour and a half in LA before that. So I’ve been staying active, trying to stay in good shape.”

Federer’s agent Tony Godsick has confirmed that early discussions are indeed happening. While he made it clear that Federer remains cautious, especially considering his knees, Godsick acknowledged that both camps are seriously considering a project that would reunite the pair in exhibition or showcase-style events.
