Wyoming vs. Colorado Head-to-Head Record
This series between Wyoming and Colorado has had 27 instances since their first game in 1900, and Colorado has won an impressive 23 times. There was one tie in 1926, and Wyoming has won three times, with the last one being in 1982. Wyoming has never won back-to-back games in this head-to-head series, meanwhile, Colorado won 11 straight from 1900 to 1924. This has been a truly one-sided battle over history, and it remains to be seen if the Cowboys can do anything to stop it this Saturday.

Wyoming vs. Colorado Prediction
For the Wyoming Cowboys, last week’s loss to Utah was a reality check after two easy wins, but the defense held its own considering their opponent’s skill level. Colorado has fought, but hasn’t gotten the results that they’ve desired in their first three games, and will look at this game as a chance to get right before the Big 12 season gets underway next week.
Colorado will return to Kadion Salter to lead them at quarterback in this one, and he seems like the right choice, given his higher grade on our PFSN QBi ratings. After Salter started the first two games, coach Deion Sanders gave Ryan Staub a chance at the helm, and he couldn’t get much going last time out against Houston.
Most touches in RZ w/o a turnover by active FBS QBs since the start of 2024:
Haynes King, 85 (21 TDs)
Taylen Green, 77 (20)
Fernando Mendoza, 76 (24)
CJ Bailey, 73 (22)
Kaidon Salter, 69 (21)
Noah Fifita, 65 (16)
Braylon Braxton, 61 (19)
Katin Houser, 54 (15)
Demond Williams, 47…— 💫🅰️♈️🆔 (@ADavidHaleJoint) September 19, 2025
The clock is ticking on this, and they need to make the right choice to ensure their leader is confident and ready to roll as the really tough games are ahead of them. Salter looks like a great option, but Sanders and the Buffaloes will be looking for him to channel his Liberty days.
While this isn’t last year’s Colorado team, it is better than Wyoming, and the Wyoming offense and offensive line will be overmatched in this one. Look for Arden Walker to have a monster game, and the Buffaloes to consistently have good field position and take advantage of it. The Cowboys have a few nice pieces on defense, but Sanders will know how to gameplan to minimize their impact in a statement game from Colorado.
Prediction: Colorado 34, Wyoming 10
