How Did Georgios Frangulis Respond to Aryna Sabalenka’s Viral US Open Celebration?

Frangulis didn’t waste any time showing his support. Known for cheering on Sabalenka throughout her career, he jumped in with a short but heartfelt message. Writing in Portuguese, Frangulis commented, “Meu amor, you rock,” which translates to, “My love, you rock.”

Frangulis also made headlines after Sabalenka clinched her first US Open title in 2024. He posted to Instagram, “I’m in love with the Queen of NY.”

The founder of Oakberry, a health food company, Frangulis, is a regular at Sabalenka’s matches and is always in the stands, especially when she wins. His latest four-word reply to Sabalenka’s viral trophy post sums up how tight-knit they are, with Sabalenka continuing to own the big moments on the court.

This partnership between Sabalenka and Frangulis first went public in April 2024. That came just one month after Sabalenka lost her previous partner, Konstantin Koltsov, who committed suicide in March 2024.

With her latest US Open win, Sabalenka didn’t just capture another title – she locked in her spot as the No. 1 player in women’s tennis. The Belarusian star played powerful, accurate tennis all tournament long, battling past heartbreaks from previous late-round exits to grab her first major trophy of the 2025 campaign.

How Does Frangulis Help Sabalenka Bounce Back from Tough Losses?

During a recent interview, Frangulis, a Brazilian with Greek roots, shared what it’s really like supporting Sabalenka through her ups and downs. Frangulis told Clay, “I just say that I love her and, ‘on to the next one.’ She’s used to losses, though thankfully, she’s more used to winning. It’s all about showing support and reminding her that tomorrow is another day.”

On top of that, Frangulis talked about the mental grind that comes with pro tennis. “Tennis is probably the toughest sport in the world – you’re out there alone, and in the end you lose more often than you win. The key is letting her know I’ll always be there for her.”

Meanwhile, Sabalenka said what matters most is having Frangulis in her corner. After she beat Cristina Bucsa in Round 4 at the 2025 US Open, the World No. 1 shared, “It’s very important for me and I am really happy to have him by my side always supporting doing his stuff outside of tennis community and bringing the best support for me. That’s why I am able to bring my best tennis.”

Next up, Sabalenka will take her game to Asia, with the China Open in Beijing on deck.
