The Packers are going with a new look tonight, ditching the traditional green and gold home uniforms for a new alternative look.

The Packers’ New ‘Winter Warning’ Uniforms

Thursday night, the Packers are going for a whiteout. It’s primetime, so what better way to debut their new ‘Winter Warning’ uniforms? With a big night ahead at Lambeau Field, Green Bay is making a statement with its new uniforms. Surely, Packers fans will be excited to see their new star EDGE, Micah Parsons, in the all white.

The uniform consists of a white jersey with green numbers and green and gold stripes on the sleeve, white pants with a similar stripe, an alternate white helmet, and white socks to complete the whiteout look.

The Packers want everybody wearing white. The team has urged their fans to show up to tonight’s game in all white to create a giant sea of unity with the players.

“Fans attending the game are reminded to wear white attire to participate in the ‘Winter Warning’ game and help create whiteout conditions at Lambeau Field. Players will join the fun by wearing the team’s white alternate helmets, paired with white jerseys, white pants, and white socks,” the Packers said.

Alternate uniforms are becoming more common in the NFL due to the recent change on rules concerning alternate helmets. Teams are now able to wear them, which has opened the door for new uniform ideas as they can match the helmet to any jersey idea they can come up with.

Packers fans will be eager to dress up in all white for a “winter warning” night as the Packers look to build on their momentum from Week 1. Another added bonus to the fun at Lambeau is a halftime ceremony for Packers legend Sterling Sharpe after his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.

Both teams left Week 1 on the winning end of a divisional game. The Packers dominated Detroit 27-13, even with the late score by the Lions. Meanwhile, the Commanders took care of the New York Giants 21-6.

In Week 1, the Commanders’ defense finished second in PFSN’s DEFi metric with a score of 87.4. They allowed only two field goals and didn’t let the Giants sniff the end zone. The Commanders will need to repeat that on Thursday Night Football to compete with the Packers’ high-powered offense.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love finished as the top NFC quarterback and fourth overall in PFSN’s QBi with a score of 83.9 in the season opener. This score was the same as Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s in Week 1.

The score measures a quarterback’s impact by evaluating their passing and rushing efficiency while also factoring in volume. Love had a great Week 1 and will be looking to continue his great start to the season against a strong Washington defense.

However, Washington’s defense isn’t the only top defense in the matchup. The Packers were PFSN’s fifth-ranked defense under the DEFi metric. They added Micah Parsons, and even though he wasn’t all over the field, he certainly contributed to a defense that looked very strong.

Both teams had great defensive showings in their season debuts, and plenty of offensive firepower to complement their units. It is shaping up to be a great battle on Thursday night.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is looking for his first signature win of the year, while the Packers have their eyes set on defending home turf. They will not want to spoil what should be a great night with Sharpe’s halftime ceremony and their new ‘Winter Warning’ uniforms.
