After a thrilling start to the 2025 NFL season, all eyes now turn to Sunday Night Football as the Buffalo Bills face off against the Baltimore Ravens. It will be a rematch of last year’s thrilling Divisional Round playoff game, and both AFC contenders look evenly matched on paper, setting up for an exciting clash.

However, even at the start of the year, neither team is going to have its full roster available. With key injuries and suspensions shaping both sidelines, here’s a breakdown of the latest inactives, injury report, and projected starting lineups for tonight’s primetime clash.

Who Will Play For Bills, Ravens In Opener?

Besides Josh Allen for the Bills, look for wide receivers Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman to make their presence felt after they were full participants in practice on Friday.

James Cook will be the starting running back, according to the latest Bills depth chart, while Dalton Kincaid handles duties at tight end.

Along the offensive line are tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, guards David Edwards and O’Cyrus Torrence, and center Connor McGovern.

On defense, Greg Rousseau will be starting at defensive end, while Joey Bosa will be at right defensive end. Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones are starting tackles, while Shaq Thompson, Terrel Bernard, and Dorian Williams are the starting linebackers.

Meanwhile, the Bills’ cornerback room is plagued by injuries. Christian Benford hasn’t practiced since August 21 due to a groin injury, while Tre’Davious White has also been out since suffering a non-contact injury at practice. However, Benford was a full participant in practice on Friday and is expected to start, while White hasn’t been ruled out as well.

Matt Prater will handle placekicking duties after Tyler Brass was placed on injured reserve, while Brad Robbins is at punter. Brandon Codrington is slotted for kick return duties.

As for the Ravens, Lamar Jackson leads the way at quarterback while all-world running back Derrick Henry will be in the backfield. Zay Flowers, Rashob Bateman, and DeAndre Hopkins will start as wide receivers, according to the Ravens’ depth chart.

Mark Andrews will continue to get the go-ahead at tight end with Isaiah Likely nursing a foot injury. The Ravens’ offensive line shapes up with tackles Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten, guards Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele, and center Tyler Linderbaum.

Baltimore’s base 3-4 defense features defensive ends Nnamdi Madubuike and Broderick Washington Jr., nose tackle Travis Jones, and linebackers Odafe Oweh, Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson, and Kyle Van Noy.

Nate Wiggins and Jaire Alexander will play cornerback, Kyle Hamilton and rookie Malaki Starks will be safeties, while Marlon Humphrey will be the nickel back.

Tyler Loop is the placekicker, while Jordan Stout is the Baltimore punter. Rookie receiver LaJohntay Wester handles punt returns, and Justic Hill will be on the field for kickoff returns.
