The Michigan sideline went on fire after a series against Oklahoma ended with a missed field goal. Freshman Quarterback Bryce Underwood was heated and started jawing at the transfer running back from Alabama, Justice Haynes.

The altercation was caught on camera. Underwood is seen stalking Hayes down the sidelines, grabbing him by the arm and turning him around before teammates intervened and separated the two players.

Why Did Bryce Underwood Go after Haynes?

The Wolverines had just missed their best chance to score in the game. They were down 7-0 with a chance to cut into Oklahoma’s lead, but the normally reliable Dominic Zvada hooked the 32-yard attempt left, keeping the Wolverines scoreless with 3:17 to play in the second quarter.

During the altercation, the Sooners marched downfield and scored a touchdown right before the half to increase their lead to 14-0.

Haynes was given multiple handoffs on the drive, but on a number of them, he was bottled up at the line of scrimmage. There is no word yet as to what exactly set Underwood off.

However, whatever set Underwood off was defused when Haynes took a handoff on the first play from scrimmage to start the second half and went 75 yards for a touchdown. Underwood and Haynes were seen celebrating the touchdown.
