Miami Lineman’s 4-Word Viral Shot at Florida’s Tyreak Sapp Ignites Rivalry Fire

A Miami lineman’s viral four-word jab at Florida’s Tyreak Sapp is already heating up the Hurricanes-Gators rivalry ahead of their 2025 matchup.

College football wouldn’t be the same without its legendary rivalries. From Michigan vs. Ohio State to USC vs. Notre Dame, there’s bitter hatred between teams and fanbases all across the country.

One of the sport’s biggest rivalries is the Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators, now entering the second year of a home-and-home series. A Miami offensive lineman recently took a jab at a Florida defensive lineman in a TikTok comment, and it’s safe to say the exchange is setting up the 2025 matchup to be a heated one.

Miami Lineman’s TikTok Jab at Tyreak Sapp Fuels Hurricanes-Gators Rivalry

Overtimeszn shared a TikTok post featuring a tweet that read, “Imagine blocking Warren Sapp’s son,” referencing Tyreak Sapp, the defensive lineman for the Florida Gators.

Miami offensive lineman Anez Cooper was quick to jump into the comment section with a comment downplaying Sapp’s Talent.

“It’s not hard at all,” Cooper wrote.

The exchange quickly spread to X, where a Gators fan account shared it, noting that Sapp was the only player to record a sack against the Canes in the program’s 2024 matchup.

The comment section on the X post shows just how heated this rivalry is, with Canes and Gators fans clashing over Cooper’s comment.

One fan pointed out that Sapp, being the only Gator to record a sack against the Canes last season, quite literally proves Cooper’s point about Florida’s defense.

“So you’re proving the Miami player’s point,” the fan wrote.

Cooper’s comment fired up Gators fans, only fueling the hatred between these fanbases ahead of their 2025 matchup.

One fan told Sapp to plant the Gators’ flag in Hard Rock after the Gators beat them this season.

“@SappTyreak plant the flag in them boys stadium,” they posted to X.

While another fan pointed out that out of all the Florida Players, Sapp is the last one Cooper wants to smack-talk.

“HE IS SMOKING CRACK & once Sapp & the boys see this chit, GAME ON & this boy is gonna get F’ed UP!! Outta all our players, he wanted to talk shit about SAPP!?? Ya, Missed the memo that crack is whack.” the fan said.

If this whole situation proves anything, it’s that college football is almost back. The Gators and the Canes are bitter in-state rivals who have long disliked each other, and Cooper’s comment is already firing people up ahead of this year’s matchup.

During their week one matchup, Miami dominated Florida in Gainesville in 2024, winning 41-17. This year, they face off in a week-four game in Miami on Saturday, September 20.

These programs didn’t need any extra fuel before their 2025 showdown, but Cooper’s comment is setting the stage for one of the best and most heated games of the season.
