Who Are the Chiefs-Seahawks Announcers? A Look at NFL Network’s Preseason Broadcast Team

The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, August 15, at Lumen Field in Seattle. Who will be the game's broadcasters?

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs visit Lumen Field for an NFL preseason showdown with the Seattle Seahawks. Mahomes made a brief appearance in last week’s first preseason game for the Chiefs, throwing a one-yard touchdown pass before exiting.

This week, though, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid might have Mahomes appear more on the field. Meanwhile, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald will look to have rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe take more reps.

In both teams’ initial preseason contests, the Seahawks played to a 23-23 tie with the Las Vegas Raiders while the Chiefs lost to the Arizona Cardinals 20-17. This week, both teams will look to get into the win column.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Announcers: NFL Network’s Broadcast Team for Preseason Week 2 Game

The Chiefs-Seahawks contest will kick off at 10 p.m. Eastern on Friday, August 15, at Lumen Field in Seattle. It will air on NFL Network unless you live in the Seahawks’ regional preseason market. In that case, Seahawks fans can tune into their local TV station carrying the game, as NFL Network will be blacked out.

Kate Scott will be on the play-by-play call for Seattle. As is customary for NFL Network broadcasts, the home team’s announcers are picked up for their preseason games. In addition to Scott, Michael Robinson and Michael Bennett, two former Seahawks, will provide commentary. All Seahawks preseason games will be available on NFL Network this season.

This game will give Seahawks fans an opportunity to possibly see Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling getting some reps.

If Chiefs’ fans want a radio option, they can tune into the Chiefs Radio Network and hear legendary play-by-play voice Mitch Holthus back for his 32nd season behind the microphone.

Former Chiefs wide receiver Danan Hughes will provide commentary while Josh Klingler is the broadcast team’s sideline reporter. Joshua Brisco joins the Chiefs Radio Network as pregame and postgame host for his first season.

In addition to the TV coverage, Chiefs and Seahawks fans (with a paid subscription) can tune into their team’s radio broadcasts on SiriusXM.
