For Leon Draisaitl, this season might not have ended as he wanted. But while he didn’t hit the milestone of winning the Stanley Cup, he made sure to hit another milestone in his time off by marrying his longtime partner, Celeste Desjardins.
In a recent Instagram post, Desjardins reciprocated her husband’s feelings in the best way possible.
Celeste Desjardins gives Leon Draisaitl the best response possible
Draisaitl had been dating Desjardins since 2018, and he finally proposed to her in July last year. On August 3, the two tied the knot at a fabulous wedding in France, which saw guests ranging from family to Draisaitl’s Oilers teammate Connor McDavid and his wife, Lauren Kyle.
And while Draisaitl has shown his love for his partner multiple times, on August 9, Desjardins showed her admiration for Draisaitl. She uploaded an Instagram story that showed him on the lakeside with the caption “hubby 🥵.”
But while the Oilers superstar was in whole swag with his wear, one noticeable thing was his wedding band. But Desjardins wasn’t done just yet. This first story was followed by sharing a post from the Italian personal trainer and Desjadin’s friend @samipunzo_fit.
The post showed a carousel of photos from the couple’s marriage and her friend Lauren Kyle. It also showed other moments Desjardins spent with friends and family and gave the fans a view of their venue and the decor.
But the post that followed this showed Desjardins and Draisaitl locked in an intimate moment with their wedding dance. While Draisaitl was holding a drink and wearing a white full-sleeved shirt and black trousers, Desjardins was stunning in a short white dress with lace.
The red light made the moment all the more vibrant, while the caption read, “Best Days of Our Lives.” The next story featured her reposting a carousel of photos originally posted by Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle.
The picture showed multiple moments shared by Lauren Kyle and Desjardins before the wedding, along with sneak peeks of a wedding gown by Hela Studio. The following few photos also showed Desjardins and other friends, such as Mikayla Nurse, the wife of Oilers’ D-man Darnell Nurse.

The menu for the night made the next experience even better, with gourmet offerings such as marinated tuna and grilled lamb chops making the cut. Desjardins also shared video clips of the picturesque venue that made the fans feel as if they were there.
The last story showed Draisaitl and Desjardins under a vine-covered terrace with drinks in their hands, enjoying the post-wedding dinner. McDavid and Lauren Kyle joined them as they lounged in the moment.
While the regular season is still some time away, Draisaitl and the Oilers are making the most of their time off.
