Aryna Sabalenka Reacts to Boyfriend Georgios Frangulis’ Major Move With Novak Djokovic

Aryna Sabalenka reacted to her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, investing in the French Ligue 2 club, Le Mans FC, alongside Novak Djokovic.

Aryna Sabalenka recently expressed her support for her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, the founder and CEO of Oakberry, following his investment in the French Ligue 2 club, Le Mans FC. Notably, Frangulis joined a distinguished group of investors that includes Novak Djokovic and Formula 1 drivers Kevin Magnussen and Felipe Massa.

Sabalenka and Frangulis have been in a relationship for over a year. They were first seen together during the 2024 Madrid Open.

Aryna Sabalenka Reacted to Boyfriend Georgios Frangulis Announcing That He ‘Bought’ Le Mans FC

In his new role, Frangulis will serve as the Chief Branding Officer for Le Mans FC. He will work alongside the club’s long-time manager, Thierry Gomez. Meanwhile, Djokovic, Massa, and Magnussen will take on advisory roles, contributing their expertise to the club’s development.

Recently, Frangulis took to social media and shared a short montage video, showcasing his travels and experiences at Le Mans FC, including a tour of the stadium where the team plays.

“So… We just bought a football club,” Frangulis said.

Celebrating her boyfriend’s investment, Sabalenka reposted Frangulis’ video in a show of support, praising him and stating that he was “killing it.”

“He is killing it 🔥,” Sabalenka captioned her Instagram story.

Sabalenka’s most recent tennis competition was the 2025 Wimbledon Championship. She triumphed over players such as Carson Branstine, Marie Bouzkova, Emma Raducanu, Elise Mertens, and Laura Siegemund to reach the semifinals. However, her run ended after she lost to eventual runner-up Amanda Anisimova.

Sabalenka To Compete Next at the 2025 Cincinnati Open?

After withdrawing from the 2025 Canadian Open, Sabalenka is set to begin her hard-court season at the 2025 Cincinnati Open, which will take place from Aug. 7 to Aug. 18, 2025, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Sabalenka will enter the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament as the defending champion. In 2024, she was seeded third and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She started by defeating Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-3, 6-4 in her opening match and then overcame Elina Svitolina 7-5, 6-2 in the third round.

In the quarterfinals, the World No. 1 triumphed over Liudmila Samsonova 6-3, 6-2 and then secured her place in the final by defeating Iga Świątek 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals. In the championship match, she overcame Jessica Pegula with a scoreline of 6-3, 7-5 to win the tournament, her sixth WTA 1000 title and the 15th title of her career on the WTA Tour.

Sabalenka will use the Cincinnati Open as a crucial preparatory event leading up to the 2025 US Open, where she is also the defending champion. In 2024, she captured the New York Major title by defeating Pegula 7-5, 7-5 in the final, securing her maiden US Open singles title and her third Grand Slam singles title overall.
