Raiders Predicted To Trade for Havoc-Wreaking Superstar To Form Dominant 1-2 Punch With Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders have been listed as a potential landing spot for an All-Pro pass rusher that would play alongside superstar Maxx Crosby.

Maxx Crosby has been among the best pass rushers in the NFL since the then-Oakland Raiders selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. While the team has since moved to Las Vegas, the four-time Pro Bowler has done nothing but produce.

Despite the production from the two-time All-Pro, the Raiders have consistently produced some of the lowest sack outputs in the NFL. They’ve had just one season, 2023, since drafting Crosby, when they ranked in the top half of sacks, and have never had a top-10 ranking in his career.

While they have looked to address those needs and find a co-star for Crosby, things have not worked out. A recent prediction suggested that they could trade for disgruntled Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons, which would give them the league’s most dominant duo.

Raiders Predicted To Pair Maxx Crosby With Micah Parsons

Parsons entered the offseason with the hopes of getting a new contract done; however, things have not worked out. He has watched pass rushers such as Crosby, Myles Garrett, and T.J. Watt sign new deals.

The three-time All-Pro had continued to say all of the right things publicly, as it looked as if he wanted to remain in Dallas. That changed on Friday, however, as he took to social media to reveal that he has requested a trade.

Garrett Podell of CBS Sports listed the Raiders as a potential fit, stating:

“The Las Vegas Raiders are set to enter the 2025 season with the oldest head coach in NFL history, with Pete Carroll, whose 74th birthday is on Sept. 15. Carroll and the franchise are certainly looking to win now. That’s why they traded for quarterback Geno Smith, who turns 35 years old on Oct. 10, and drafted Ashton Jeanty, college football’s best running back, sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

“Pairing Parsons with Maxx Crosby, the player he is tied with for more quarterback pressures in the NFL since 2021, would give Las Vegas the most fearsome pass rush duo in the NFL. The Raiders are also familiar with the price necessary to acquire a talent like Parsons, given they traded away a similar one in Khalil Mack back in 2018.”

A pairing of Crosby and Parsons would certainly terrify opposing coaches and quarterbacks; however, it is unclear if the latter will get his request granted. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed that he has no plans to make such a move, labeling the trade request as a negotiation tactic. Dallas’ regular season begins in just over a month, so there should be a resolution to Parsons’ future soon.
