While the NFL world has been preparing for the debut of Shedeur Sanders as a starting quarterback, he isn’t the only member of the Sanders family who could enter the league in the 2025 season. His elder brother, safety Shilo Sanders, could also be in line for a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster.
Even though he went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Buccaneers signed him as a free agent, and he’s been trying to earn his way onto the roster. However, even as his hard work to make it as an official member of the Tampa Bay squad continues, his presence on social media has also been a constant for fans of the youngster. His most recent upload, though, might make his new city a massive fan of his.

The third child of the legendary two-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, Shilo has had an arduous journey to the NFL. After earning a spot with South Carolina, he struggled to find consistent playing time.
As a result, when his brother and father took over the Jackson State ranks, he went along with them. Similarly, their transfer to Colorado also saw the defense receive a boost from Shilo.
However, his performance through six years on the collegiate circuit wasn’t enough to convince NFL teams to give him a second look in the draft. It wasn’t until its conclusion that Tampa Bay offered him a spot as an undrafted free agent.
So far, he’s been impressing folks throughout the organization, with head coach Todd Bowles, in particular, waxing lyrical about his commitment to getting better and keeping the focus on his improvement into a legitimate NFL player.
With the popularity of the Sanders family, the Bucs faithful might already be fully in support of the youngster on their roster. However, his latest social media upload might make them even bigger fans of their project.
Enjoying a Coca-Cola beverage on the sidelines, he spoke directly into the camera, “We got the best fans right here in Tampa.” The origin of the can in his hand also became clear a moment later as he thanked the fans for sharing it with him.

He again reiterated, “Best fans here in Tampa,” as the people behind him were overjoyed by his acknowledgement. It’s been a long journey for Sanders to get here, but preseason might be the final hurdle he needs to cross to secure a spot on the team’s roster.
Perhaps fans will see him in official NFL action as early as Week 1 of the 2025 season, when the Buccaneers kick off their season against the Atlanta Falcons.
