Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Officially Announced

The Hall will enshrine Antonio Gates, Jared Allen, Sterling Sharpe, and Eric Allen on Saturday, August 2, 2025, capping off an event-filled week in Canton.

Antonio Gates (TE)

The former Chargers star revolutionized the tight end position. An eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, Gates retired with 116 touchdown receptions, the most ever by a tight end and seventh in NFL history.

Jared Allen (DE)

Known for his relentless motor and signature sack celebration, Allen logged 136 career sacks, ranking 16th all-time, and earned five Pro Bowl nods and four All-Pro selections.

Sterling Sharpe (WR)

Despite his career being cut short by a neck injury after just seven seasons, Sharpe posted five Pro Bowls, three All-Pro selections, and 65 touchdowns. His induction is historic as he joins his brother Shannon Sharpe, making them the first pair of brothers in the Hall.

Eric Allen (CB)

A six-time Pro Bowler, Allen totaled 54 career interceptions over 14 seasons, cementing his place as one of the most reliable cornerbacks of the 1990s.

This year’s four-member class marks the 19th time in Hall history that three or four individuals have been enshrined in a single year.

Enshrinement Week Schedule and Festivities

The Hall of Fame festivities kick off with the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, July 31, featuring the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions. The annual Gold Jacket Dinner follows on August 1 at 5 pm ET, leading into the Enshrinement Ceremony on August 2 at 1 pm ET, where the Class of 2025 will be officially immortalized.

Fans can also enjoy the Concert for Legends on August 3 at 7:30 pm ET, headlined by Nickelback, rounding out a celebratory weekend that blends football history with entertainment.

Gates redefined his position without ever playing college football, Allen terrorized quarterbacks for over a decade, Sharpe’s peak production made him one of the league’s most feared receivers, and Allen’s consistency anchored elite defenses throughout the ’90s.

Together, they represent a cross-section of NFL history, from explosive offensive firepower to game-changing defensive prowess, cementing their legacies in Canton.
