Shedeur Sanders Ensures Every Child Gets in the Photo

Players can get prickly at training camp. It is typically an unpleasant experience for them as they have to be separated from their families, and the training sessions can be physically intensive in the summer heat. This is what makes Sanders’ act of hospitality to young Browns fans all the more remarkable.

In the video, Sanders can be overheard gathering young fans present at the Browns’ training camp.

Sanders called out, “Everybody come here, we are taking a photo!” as he ushered the fans to the photo area. He told the cameraman, “We need a wide one, though,” to ensure all the fans could get in the photo’s frame.

Sanders then stepped over the line and joined the fans for the photo, telling the fans to throw their wrists up to replicate his iconic pose.

After taking the photo, he saluted the fans with a loud “Appreciate you all!” before jogging back to the locker room.

The interaction was during one of the Browns’ open practice sessions, where fans can attend to watch their favorite players practice.

Sanders Takes Reps With Third Stringers at Cleveland Browns Training Camp

Sanders is locked in a four-way battle for the Browns’ starting quarterback job against Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. After falling to the fifth round of the NFL Draft, the odds are stacked against the former Colorado Buffalo quarterback.

The other three quarterbacks have taken some reps with the starting unit, but Sanders has yet to get the chance. However, he remains unbothered by the challenge.

Sanders told reporters, “It doesn’t really faze me. We came all the way from an HBCU to a Power 5, and now we’re here. So, at this point, if you look, there’s nothing that’s a challenge, I would say.”

He has played mainly with the third-stringers so far, but has impressed when given the opportunity. Sanders threw three touchdowns during the 11-on-11, 7-on-7, and red zone drills.

Sanders may also get game reps to showcase what he can do. The Browns play the Carolina Panthers in week 1 of the preseason on August 8.
