Haason Reddick Landing Spots
With the Arizona Cardinals adding J.J. Watt and bringing back Markus Golden, Haason Reddick is left looking at other potential landing spots in free agency. Let’s take a look at where he could wind up in 2021.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have lost both Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue already in free agency. They did manage to bring back Tyus Bowser, but they are still likely in the market for another EDGE. The Ravens offensive line is loaded, with Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, and Bowser making a fearsome group. Adding Reddick to that group could make this a very intimidating line and mean the Ravens do not miss a beat despite the loss of Judon and Ngakoue.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills made some moves to retain defensive linemen this offseason. They brought back Mario Addison, but they could still look to make further moves. The Bills were not consistently getting to the passer last season, and an explosive player like Reddick could really give them a boost. Reddick certainly proved he can play with that explosion. The issue with the Bills as a potential landing spot for Reddick is a slight scheme change to a 4-3 defense.

That would leave Reddick either needing to convert to a more traditional defensive end or dropping back into a traditional linebacker role. Given Reddick’s struggles in coverage last season, allowing over an 80 percent completion rate when targeted. That could lead the Bills to look at a more traditional pass rusher instead of Reddick.
Dallas Cowboys
The scheme is also an issue when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys as a potential landing spot for Haason Reddick. However, the Cowboys need to replace Aldon Smith opposite Demarcus Lawrence. They have already brought back Ron’Dell Carter, but they could still be in the market for someone with more experience.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins feel like the ideal landing spot for Haason Reddick. The Dolphins traded away Shaq Lawson this offseason. Therefore, they need a player to come in and be a starter opposite Emmanuel Ogbah. That is also especially important given that Ogbah will be a free agent this time next season. The Dolphins may decide they like Andrew Van Ginkel, but Reddick’s asking price could drop to the right level for Miami. Signing Reddick comes with plenty of risks, given that over 60 percent of his career sacks came in 2020.
New York Giants
The Giants have seen both Jabaal Sheard and Kyler Fackrell leave this offseason. Therefore, they are a prime candidate to be in the market as a potential landing spot for Haason Reddick. The Giants just cleared more cap space with a restructure of the Nate Solder deal. That money could be used to upgrade their pass rush this offseason.
What is Haason Reddick’s potential market value in free agency?
The market value for Haason Reddick at his potential landing spots is going to be fascinating. Reddick was a slow starter before exploding in 2020. Of his 20 sacks, 12.5 came last season, along with 16 of his 37 QB hits. He also posted nearly half of his tackles for loss and 6 of his 9 forced fumbles last year. How much money will teams be willing to commit to a guy who has one outlier year in his career?

Spotrac’s market value for Reddick currently reflects that uncertainty in his market. They currently have Reddick projected with a market value of $11.6 million per year on a four-year deal. The players they compare him to are Devon Kennard, Preston Smith, Leonard Floyd, and Anthony Barr. The range on those deals is $6.7 million to 13.5 million. However, after a one-year prove-it deal in Los Angles, Floyd just re-signed on a four-year deal worth $16 million per year. That could be the path we see Reddick end up going down with the 2022 free agency expected to see higher values.
