Deion Sanders Set To Address Health Concerns

ESPN reporter Adam Rittenberg shared worrying news for Colorado fans:

“Colorado coach Deion Sanders will hold a pre-training camp news conference Monday in Boulder alongside his medical team. Sanders declined to discuss his health issues from the spring in depth at Big 12 media days but will do so Monday.”

This announcement is making fans very nervous. Sanders has been gone from Colorado since the spring game ended in April. He returned to his ranch in Texas to get better from his sickness. The 57-year-old coach missed important summer practices and recruiting trips while he was away.

While Sanders was recovering, he reportedly lost 14 pounds. At the Big 12 meetings earlier this month, Sanders would not answer questions about being sick. He said, “I’m not here to talk about my health.” But now he wants to have a meeting with his doctors present.

The timing makes fans even more worried. Colorado starts football practice on Monday, the same day as Sanders’ press conference.

Colorado Fans Share Their Biggest Fears

Fans are posting worried messages in the comment section of Rittenberg’s post about what Sanders might announce. Many think he will quit coaching.

One user stated: “He’s gone.”

Another fan said, “He’ll resign and spend a lot of time in Cleveland,” suggesting he might retire to focus on his health.

One fan worried, “He’s retiring,” believing Sanders will stop coaching forever.

A user stated: “Brother has planned his way out,” thinking Sanders had already decided to quit.

One fan predicted: “My guess he steps down,” expecting Sanders to give up his coaching job.

The fact that doctors will be at the press conference makes fans think the news will be very bad. Colorado needs Sanders badly since his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, already left for the NFL.

Nonetheless, only Monday will tell what the future holds for the Buffs.
