The couple’s relationship has been a source of fascination for fans since they made it official earlier this year. Their love story has unique roots: Sera was once a fourth-grade student of Coco’s mother, Candi Gauff, a former track athlete turned educator.

In a heartwarming moment captured during a promotional video for BOSE, Gauff confirmed their relationship status. When she heard a message saying, “Just wanted to say you’re the absolute coolest person ever. I’m so proud of you. You’re doing great and I love you,” Gauff beamed and confirmed, “That’s my boyfriend,” adding, “Today’s actually our two-year anniversary.”

Coco Gauff’s Recent Performances and 2025 Tennis Season

Gauff’s 2025 tennis season has been spectacular, marked by significant achievements and some challenging moments. The 21-year-old American started the year with remarkable success, participating in the United Cup where the United States team won the title against Poland. In the final, she defeated world No. 2 Iga Świątek in straight sets and remained undefeated throughout the tournament.

At the Australian Open, Gauff advanced to the quarterfinals before being defeated by Paula Badosa in straight sets. Following the Australian Open, she faced some struggles with consecutive losses at the Qatar Open and Dubai Championships. However, her form improved during the clay season, where she reached the quarterfinals of the Stuttgart Open and made the finals at the Madrid Open and the Italian Open.

The highlight of Gauff’s 2025 season came at the French Open, where she captured her first Roland Garros singles title and second Grand Slam crown. She defeated World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling three-set final with a score of 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4. This victory made her the first American woman to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015 and the youngest from the US to do so since Williams in 2002.

Currently ranked World No. 2 in the WTA rankings with 7,669 points, Gauff has shown exceptional skill throughout the season. Her record stands at 31-10 with a 76% match win-loss rate, including a strong 7-3 record against top-10 players.

However, her season took a disappointing turn at Wimbledon, where she suffered a first-round upset loss to Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska in straight sets 7-6(3), 6-1.
