What Makes This Jordan Brand Event Special for Jalen Hurts?

Hurts has shown he belongs among elite quarterbacks since taking over as Philadelphia’s full-time starter. The Eagles quarterback has led the franchise to the postseason in each of the past four years, compiling a 45-17 record over that span.

His crowning achievement came during the 2024 postseason when he guided Philadelphia to their second Super Bowl title in franchise history. The second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft threw for 726 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception in four games. He completed 71.4% of his pass attempts while adding 194 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 34 carries. His strong play under center was a key reason that Philadelphia was able to outscore their opponents 145-77.

The Super Bowl LIX MVP has been enjoying his offseason, and he was recently in Greece for a Jordan Brand “Board of Greatness” event. There, Hurts had the opportunity to spend time with NBA legends Michael Jordan and Carmelo Anthony.

Jordan is widely considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time, while Anthony is set to join him in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later this year. The two stars are, arguably, the most recognizable faces on the Chicago Bulls legend Jordan Brand roster.

Hurts had the opportunity to take a picture with the two NBA legends. Nice Kicks shared the photos to X, tweeting:

The Eagles quarterback wasn’t the only star athlete at the Greece gathering. Hurts was part of a star-studded lineup that was on hand for the event. Some of the other recognizable names from the event include Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić, former All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero, and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo, among others.

The Eagles star has been with Jordan Brand since signing a deal in August 2023. He wore Air Jordan cleats throughout the 2022 season prior to joining the brand’s talented roster. The details of his multi-year footwear and apparel deal were not publicly revealed.

Meanwhile, Hurts does not yet have a signature shoe with the iconic brand. However, one is expected to be announced soon.
