Joy Taylor has been a staple on Fox Sports 1 over the last several years, playing key roles on or hosting multiple shows.
With the NFL season quickly approaching, her show “Speak” was set to re-focus on football. However, a recent report from The Athletic says that Fox Sports will be making some programming changes.
Joy Taylor Out at FS1 After Nearly a Decade With the Network As NFL Training Camps Begin
Joy Taylor joined FS1 in early 2016Â after a brief radio career in Miami. She initially worked in a fill-in role on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” before landing the moderator role on “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed.”
She parlayed that into a full-time role on “The Herd” and eventually became a co-host on “Speak” when the show launched in 2022. Taylor co-hosted with former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson and former NBA champion Paul Pierce.
The show ran for three years before Fox Sports pulled the plug, according to a recent report from The Athletic‘s Andrew Marchand.
Marchand wrote, “Joy Taylor is out at Fox Sports as part of a series of moves that will also see the network’s cable arm, FS1, cancel “Speak,” the show Taylor co-hosts, as well as its two morning programs, sources briefed on the decisions told The Athletic.
“The three shows struggled to find a huge audience, prompting the cancellations, according to sources briefed on the decision. Taylor co-hosted ‘Speak’ with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce. Taylor’s contract was up and not renewed by Fox Sports after she had been with the network for nearly a decade,” he continued.

Marchand also noted that Taylor’s contract was not renewed.
Taylor initially came under fire earlier this year after being named in a lawsuit by Noushin Faraji, a former Fox Sports hairstylist. Charlie Dixon, one of the network’s top programming execs, was accused of sexual battery by Faraji, and the former employee claims that Taylor told her to “get over it” when she confided in her.
In the lawsuit, Faraji said that Taylor had an affair with Dixon, which led to her being named host on “Undisputed.”
Taylor currently hosts the “Two Personal Show” on YouTube, but her future in mainstream broadcasting is unclear. Taylor is the sister of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor.
What Other Shows Will Fox Sports Be Canceling?
Along with “Speak”, FS1 has cancelled “Breakfast Ball” and “The Facility.” Craig Carton co-hosted “Breakfast Ball” with former NFL offensive lineman Mark Schlereth.
“The Facility” was co-hosted by former NFLers Emmanuel Acho, Chase Daniel, James Jones, and LeSean McCoy. The show focused on the retired players’ perspectives on sports topics.
