Top IDP Players To Draft in 2024
Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Detroit Lions
Among full-time players in 2023, Hutchinson sat fifth in pass rush win rate (per PFF), and one of the four ahead of him retired. That includes a better win rate than any of the top six in sacks last year.
Hutchinson will make the leap into the elite this year, and getting him at a (slight) discount relative to the other elites is a huge win.
Azeez Al-Shaair, LB, Houston Texans
Last year, it was Ernest Jones IV as the IDP linebacker to draft. This year, it’s Al-Shaair.
If you’re worried about the Texans’ LB rotation in 2024, don’t be. They went out and paid Al-Shaair, who previously played for head coach DeMeco Ryans when the two were in San Francisco.
Last year, Al-Shaair showed how well he’d do as a full-time guy. This time around, he’ll join the upper echelon of IDP linebackers.
