2023 Shrine Bowl Schedule: Weigh-Ins, Practice Days, Game Day, and Start Time

The 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl kicks off this week. It’s a showcase that will host well over 100 of the top 2023 NFL Draft prospects in the nation and give them a chance to prove their mettle in front of NFL scouts. Here’s everything you need to know about the game and the events leading up to it.

When Does the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl Start?

For the players, East-West Shrine Bowl week begins on Thursday, Jan. 26. This is when players are scheduled to arrive. Upon arrival, players will conduct weigh-ins that will accurately quantify their height, weight, arm length, wingspan, and hand size.

After a day of media introductions for the players, Shrine Bowl practices officially begin on Saturday, Jan. 28. The East and West teams will be coached by the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots coaching staffs, respectively.

From Saturday to Tuesday, practices run from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. PT. Each team practice is an hour and a half long, with a 10-15-minute intermission between practices. Practices on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be held at the UNLV Fertitta Football Complex. Tuesday’s practices, however, will be held at the Las Vegas Raiders practice facility.

Each day after practice, there will be player interview availability for both media and NFL personnel from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT and a media-credentialed happy hour period from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Tuesday, the interview period does not begin until 2:30 p.m. PT.

Tuesday concludes the four-day practice period for the Shrine Bowl teams. On Wednesday, players will be able to interact with children from Shriners Hospital. And on Thursday, the East-West Shrine Bowl game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT.
