Sam Howell never competed with Spencer Rattler for QB1. Howell was at UNC and Rattler was at OU. They were never at the same school.

Thanks for reading! That note was about QB1 of the class, not QB1 of his own team. In the preseason, Howell and Rattler were the consensus top two QBs in most mock drafts/big boards.

Really solid analysis. Aligning team need and best player with each team out there. Like with any mock draft, fans cam quibble over their team’s pick, but overall, a very solid job.

Love the WFT pick of Sam Howell at 11. I think Howell will be a solid NFL QB and your analysis of his season was right on.

I don’t see Pittsburgh not picking Linderbaum if available. Not after the mistake with Green! The Steelers had their share of problematic players so Kenny Pickett fits that mold. Don’t see them taking him! Last year Pittsburgh didn’t draft well. Rooney cannot be happy with the team’s lines on both sides of the ball. I wouldn’t expect a sexy draft from Pittsburgh this time. I think it will be guys in the trenches on draft day. Then look to fill some holes through free agency. Alot of these players are young and there’s a chance they can turn them around next season. As they look for their franchise QB and rebuild the team…..

I agree they should pick Linderbaum in round 1, but I disagree that Pickett would be a “problem” pick. Also, the Steelers did get a few good players in last year’s draft, most notably Harris and Freirmuth, also Norwood in round 7 was a steal.

James Fragoza’s juvenile writing style reads like a high school student who thinks clumsy efforts to be clever or witty is somehow professional, instead of the annoying and irritating tedium that comes across…just write an article the way adult reporters and readers can enjoy and appreciate, and save the lame attempts at humor for your TV sitcom interviews…your facts and opinions are all that’s wanted
