Aaron Rodgers

Nobody can deny Aaron Rodgers‘ talent. He’s one of the best quarterbacks of all time and a natural with the ball in his hands. But he’s also 35 years old and taking too many hits. He’s had a concussion, broken collarbone and serious knee injury in the last two seasons. Sharing the NFC North with the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears ensures that he’ll be under pressure.

When healthy though, there are few better at evading pressure and extending plays. Rodgers’ relationship with Mike McCarthy deteriorated rapidly. The power struggle led to Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay protégé Matt LaFleur being brought in as head coach. One of the priorities when filling the vacancy was finding somebody who could help Rodgers return to an MVP level. A fresh approach could see Rodgers returning to the fantasy superstar that he’s been for the majority of his career. Rodgers has the potential to finish as the QB1 in the 2019 fantasy football season.

Davante Adams

After hanging on the edge of fantasy stardom for a couple of years, Davante Adams arrived in a big way in 2018. His 35 receiving touchdowns in the last three seasons trail only Antonio Brown, who has 36. In the 39 games that Adams has played with Aaron Rodgers during that time, he has scored 31 touchdowns.

The departure of Jordy Nelson prior to the 2018 season saw Adams’ target share increase from 24.4% to 29.1% and he responded in style with 111 receptions for 1386 yards and 13 touchdowns. Randall Cobb leaving puts pressure on the Green Bay Packers’ younger receivers to step up, but Adams is clearly the man that Rodgers trusts. Like Rodgers, Adams has the potential to finish 2019 fantasy football formats as number one at his position.

Aaron Jones

Running backs in high scoring offenses are never a bad thing. Especially when that running back averages 5.5 yards per carry. Especially when the franchise quarterback has publicly campaigned for that running back to get more of the ball. That’s Aaron Jones.

Yes, there’s the possibility that the Packers utilize the dreaded running back by committee (RBBC), but Jones is the most talented player in the group. He should easily exceed the 133 carries that he was given in 2018, and he has the receiving ability to be a dynamic option out of the backfield.

Sleepers

There’s no doubt that Jimmy Graham has disappointed since being traded away from the New Orleans Saints. He’s no longer the athletic mismatch who dominated linebackers. He should improve from 2018 when he was the TE14 in standard scoring, though. His 2 touchdowns were the fewest of his career, but if his chemistry with Rodgers has improved, then there’s a good reason to think he can be a top 10 fantasy tight end again.

Jamaal Williams doesn’t have the upside of Aaron Jones. That said, he’s a good pass blocker with the physicality to handle a heavy workload if needed. His value is limited at the moment, but Jones’ availability hasn’t been guaranteed since coming into the league.

Geronimo Allison trailed only Adams and Randall Cobb in receptions per game for the Packers before his injury last season. With Cobb no longer on the team, Allison looks the most likely to take the WR2 role. Marquez Valdes-Scantling will provide competition, but Allison would have been in touching distance of 1000 yards in 2018 if he maintained his pre-injury production for 16 games.
