Shams Charania Reveals President Donald Trump’s Plans for Game 4 of NBA Finals
President Trump was invited to attend the NBA Finals by Knicks owner James Dolan. He arrived at Madison Square Garden alongside his granddaughter, Kai, and members of his cabinet. He sat in Dolan’s suite and was seen talking to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver during the game.
ESPN’s Shams Charania revealed that President Trump is not expected to attend Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday due to scheduling conflicts.
“President Donald Trump is not expected to attend Game 4 of Knicks-Spurs in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden due to scheduling conflicts and obligations, sources tell ESPN. Trump, a lifelong Knicks fan, watched the majority of Game 3 from a suite,” Charania wrote on X.

Heightened security measures were put in place to prepare for President Trump’s arrival at Madison Square Garden on Monday. Fans had to go through security screenings and long lines to get into the arena, while watch parties directly outside were canceled as a secure perimeter was put in place in the nearby area.
On the court, the Spurs finally got on the board in the NBA Finals by claiming a 115-111 win. Victor Wembanyama led the way for the Spurs with 32 points, 6 assists, and 8 rebounds, while Stephon Castle finished with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Knicks entered Game 3 on a 13-game winning streak, but the Spurs put an end to their momentum and made this series more interesting with their pivotal win. The Knicks dominated the second quarter and led 64-57 at halftime, but San Antonio fought back in the second half.
With the momentum now in San Antonio’s favor, the Knicks will hope to get back on track on Wednesday and take another big step in their quest to win a first NBA championship since 1973.
