WATCH: Stephen Curry Shares an Adorable Moment With His Son Caius During NBA Game

Stephen Curry has been on quite a tear lately — until the Houston Rockets put an end to his historical run.

Coming into the April 6 matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, Curry had been scorching hot, racking up 125 points over just three games in a 10-day stretch. His offensive explosion was highly reminiscent of the guard’s MVP days and was a reminder of the firepower he still possesses when in rhythm.

The End of Stephen Curry’s Scoring Streak

When the Rockets came to town, however, everything changed.

Houston head coach Ime Udoka threw relentless double teams at Curry all game with hopes of slowing the superstar down — and it worked. The Warriors guard recorded one of his quietest performances in recent memory, scoring three points on an uncharacteristic 1-of-10 shooting from the field.

It was not just Curry’s performance that allowed Houston to slip away with the win. The Rockets dominated the boards with their double-big strategy in Alperen Şengün and Steven Adams, killing the Warriors with second-chance scoring opportunities. Throughout the entire game, Houston dictated the pace and controlled the rhythm of the 48 game-time minutes.

It was a statement performance that showed exactly why Houston sits comfortably as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, well ahead of the crowded middle tier, where seeds Nos. 3 through 8 are separated by just a few games.

The Warriors dropped a 106–96 loss at home, falling to 46–32 and now tied with the Los Angeles Clippers. With only a few games left in the regular season, teams in the West are scrambling to avoid the dreaded play-in and secure the best possible playoff positioning.

Fortunately for Warriors fans, Golden State’s remaining schedule should bode relatively well for its ultimate seeding. The Warriors play the Phoenix Suns on April 8 and the San Antonio Spurs on April 9, and they end their season with matchups against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Clippers.

Curry’s Special Moment With His Son

Despite the Warriors’ rough night on the court, Curry shared a sweet moment with his family during a game stoppage.

This video captures a wholesome moment between Curry and his youngest son, Caius, who will soon turn one on May 11.

“Steph playing with his son Caius during a timeout might be the cutest thing you’ll see today,” said the video’s caption, expressing how everyone felt watching the veteran guard share a heartwarming moment with his son.
