In the NBA, fashion often shares the spotlight with basketball—and while some players opt for sharp suits, designer brands, or bold statement pieces, Karl-Anthony Towns has a style all his own. Whether he’s rocking a flashy leather jacket or keeping it casual with a hoodie and trainers, one thing is clear: he’s especially fond of his striped black jeans.
For many, fashion is a reflection of personality, and Towns embraces that with an effortless approach.
During a recent post-game interview with the Inside the NBA crew on TNT, he showed up in simple, everyday attire—including a pair of Nike sliders. In a league known for high-fashion looks, it was a refreshing change of pace.
Karl-Anthony Towns Flaunts Nike Sliders for Post-Game On-Court Interview
After dropping 24 points and helping derail the Indiana Pacers’ easy path to the NBA Finals, he stepped onto the court to discuss the team’s performance. But would Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith cut him any slack for wearing sliders? Not a chance.
While Ernie Johnson introduced him to the television audience, Shaq immediately glanced at his feet and said, “With his toes out.” The panel broke out in laughter, but Towns immediately had a comeback of his own by saying, “My toes are better than yours, Shaq.” The two shared a heartfelt moment.
But Barkley stole the show, as always.
“You are the only basketball player I know who got good-looking feet,” said Chuck, showing his sense of humor as the five members joked and laughed around. One or two fans came on social media and voiced their concerns over his fashion sense.
One user commented, “Why KAT wore flip flops to post game interview😭,” and while another user loved his fashion sense and said, “That’s the most comfortable s*** you can have on after the game 🤷🏾♂️.” It became a marquee post-game moment as he earned his applause after a brilliant performance on the court.

Towns had a fantastic game, dominating inside and excelling on offense. On defense, he made it tough for the Pacers to score in the paint, dealing them a serious blow. Despite concerns after being seen holding his knee, KAT quickly put injury rumors to rest.
Towns replied, “Ain’t no matter. Gotta get the job done. I always try to play. Nothing really crossed my mind that I was going to miss this game. It’s Game 5. It’s do or die.”
Hopefully, he avoids aggravating the injury, as Towns is ready to give it his all in Game 6 in Indiana and help the Knicks stay alive in the series.
