The Golden State Warriors have been quite active as the NBA trade deadline approaches on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, and the team made another deal on Wednesday night.
The Warriors have traded center Trayce Jackson-Davis to the Toronto Raptors for a 2026 second-round pick by way of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jackson-Davis was a second-round draft pick out of Indiana by the Washington Wizards in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Charania had more details regarding how the trade affects the Raptors at this moment.
“The Raptors acquire some needed size in the frontcourt and use the space, staying under the luxury tax, from the Ochai Agbaji trade earlier Wednesday,” Charania posted on X. “Golden State acquires another pick in the 2026 NBA draft.”
For the 2025-26 NBA season, Jackson-Davis is averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game and shooting 58.8% from the floor. With Jackson-Davis going to Toronto, he gives the Raptors another big body that can play down low when needed.
The Warriors are currently 27-24 on the season, 13 games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA’s Western Conference. As for the Raptors, they are 30-22, 8.5 games behind the front-running Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference.
Earlier on Wednesday night, the Warriors sent Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield to the Atlanta Hawks for Kristaps Porzingis. Charania indicated in his reporting that the Warriors had Porzingis on their radar and wanted a big man like him for their lineup.
On Thursday night, the Raptors will host the Chicago Bulls. Meanwhile, Golden State will travel to Phoenix and take on the Suns.

It’s not clear whether Porzingis would be available for Thursday night’s game for the Warriors. But Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is probably quite happy to have someone like Porzingis he can put into the lineup. The Warriors have been missing a player with some size ever since Jimmy Butler was lost for the season due to injury.
The Warriors also know that the clock is ticking on the road to potentially winning one more NBA championship with Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and other longtime Golden State players together.
