Even though Golden State went on to lose 127-120, Curry ended the night with a new milestone to add to his career résumé. Entering the game, he had made at least one 3-pointer in 999 games during his NBA career. This matchup marked the 1,000th time, making him the 12th player in NBA history to reach the feat.

Curry is in his 17th NBA season, all with the Warriors. He has won four NBA championships, dominating opponents with his historic perimeter shooting ability. Golden State has maximized his talent, with Curry earning two MVP awards in 2015 and 2016.

Curry may be entering the twilight of his career at age 37. While he has shown no signs of slowing down, his availability will continue to be tested as injuries arise.

Curry will go down as one of the best players ever to step on an NBA court, particularly as one of the greatest 3-point shooters of all time. As long as he remains with the Warriors, the team will have a chance to compete for another title.

In the meantime, Golden State will look to build momentum and climb the standings. The Warriors are 13-13 on the season, holding the eighth spot in the Western Conference. They are 1.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and three games ahead of the Dallas Mavericks, while trailing the Phoenix Suns by 1.5 games and the Minnesota Timberwolves by 3.5 games.
