In the deciding game of the Los Angeles Clippers-Denver Nuggets series, James Harden managed just seven points. When the Houston Rockets came up against the Warriors in a must-win game, their most dangerous offensive threat, Jalen Green, had a dreadful night, logging just eight points and one assist.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard has appeared in eight Game 7s, winning six of those games.
James got his first taste of Game 7 action back in 2006 when his Cavaliers encountered the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference semifinals. At the time, a 21-year-old James battled valiantly, recording 27 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Unfortunately, an experienced Pistons roster was too much for the Cavs.
Two years later, James came up against a stacked Boston Celtics roster. Despite a memorable 45-point night from the superstar, Cleveland fell to a narrow 97-92 loss.
James responded in 2012 when he was once again matched with the Celtics. Now with the Miami Heat, James recorded a double-double to carry his team to a comprehensive 101-88 win. The Heat would go on to win the title that season, giving the Ohio native the first of his four championship rings.
The following year, he came through for Miami not once, but twice, in critical Game 7s. Against the Indiana Pacers, James recorded 32 points to keep the Heat’s hopes of a repeat alive. In the finals, he was exceptional, finishing with 37 points and 12 rebounds to defeat the San Antonio Spurs.
2016 was arguably James’ most significant Game 7 outing. Now back with his hometown team, James finished with a triple-double to complete a remarkable 3-1 comeback against the Warriors, giving Cleveland their first-ever championship.
James’ Game 7 performances seemed to just get better with age. In 2018, the four-time MVP had a whopping 45 points against the Pacers to close out the first-round series. He followed that up with 35 points and 15 rebounds against the Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Overall, James has averaged 34.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.8 steals over eight Game 7s.
