How Did Jones Meet Tyrese Haliburton?
Beyond her social media presence, Jones has a story that connects directly to basketball. She was born in Iowa on Jan. 30, 1998, to Michael David Jones and Lori McKinley. Her mother works as a breast sonographer at Genesis Center for Breast Health in Iowa, while her father lives in Davenport.
Jones attended Davenport West High School, where she was also a cheerleader. She built her career as an elementary school teacher, working at Walcott Elementary School in Iowa. The 27-year-old studied education at Iowa State University.
That’s where her path crossed with Haliburton’s. She met the future NBA star at Iowa State in 2019. Haliburton was a star basketball player for the Iowa State Cyclones, and Jones was a cheerleader for the team.
