Actor Timothée Chalamet portrayed rock legend Bob Dylan in the biopic “A Complete Unknown.” But Chalamet recently sat down with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and former NBA player and coach Steve Nash for a conversation. And Michael Jordan’s name came up in the chat, too.
During the conversation, Chalamet actually discussed doing an athletic biopic. But not of James. Rather, he spoke of doing one about Jordan.

On Thursday, a video clip of Chalamet’s discussion with James and Nash on their “Mind the Game” podcast was released. In it, Chalamet talked about playing Dylan and how it affected his career. Chalamet also expressed his own thoughts about watching James play in the NBA.
“They’ll do a biopic about you, and they’ll definitely do a biopic about you,” Chalamet said as he pointed to both James and Nash. “So get ready. In fact, I’ll ask you guys after who you guys want to play you. But I feel like…”
“I think there’s only one person on this stage you could play personally,” Nash interrupted and said. “I don’t know, I don’t know,” Chalamet responded. “You don’t think I could play LeBron? Come on, man.”
James then replied that if the movie started by showing him in second grade. Chalamet then replied that he’d do it. Later on, Chalamet commented that doing a movie of James’ life is “an amazing idea.”
In turning to Nash, Chalamet said, “I got two sophisticated responses now that we’re in too good a flow now. I overprepared the f**k out of everything in ‘A Complete Unknown’ (the title of his Dylan film). I felt like more emotional about it than anybody on set. I felt like I had the authority about the character. I felt like everything I was in the bones of it.
“So, if somebody threw shade at the movie, in the long run I would know that I had the most magical experience in my life, you know,” Chalamet told Nash. “And playing Bob Dylan, I don’t know what the athletic metaphor would be. Like, if you got to, you know, be Jordan, you know.”
“Of everything…this is the best highlight. This is number one.” 🚀

Then Chalamet looks over at James and said, “Let’s get the GOAT conversation going.”
Chalamet also admitted in his chat with James and Nash that he was present for James’ first game with the Miami Heat in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. Chalamet appears to be a solid NBA fan, so his conversation with James and Nash not only touched on his movie career but also on the NBA world.
