Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards Hilariously Trolls Lakers Youngster In Latest Heckle

During the recent Lakers-Wolves game, Anthony Edwards hilariously trolled this young Lakers star from the bench.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ narrow 116-115 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday was packed with drama, but the most talked-about moment didn’t happen on the court.

Instead, it came from Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, who, despite being sidelined with a hamstring injury, still managed to go viral with a priceless comment from the bench that has everyone talking.

How Did Anthony Edwards Steal the Spotlight While Injured?

Hailed by some as the new face of the NBA, the young Minnesota star often makes headlines for his unfiltered personality, both on and off the court. During the recent loss to the Lakers, Edwards had a front-row seat to cheer on his team from the sidelines. With Los Angeles playing without LeBron James, opposing teams are looking to capitalize on the opportunity to secure a win.

The Timberwolves nearly did, losing by just one point in a nail-biter. However, the game’s turning point came from an unexpected source. While the Lakers’ stars were out, Jake LaRavia stepped up for the team, backing up Austin Reaves with a season-high 27 points. As Laker Nation celebrated the 23-year-old’s performance, Edwards seemed completely baffled about who he was.

Draining five three-pointers at the Target Center, LaRavia certainly captured everyone’s attention. A curious Minnesota fan in the stands yelled out, “Who’s No. 12?”

In a hilarious moment, Edwards himself provided the answer. Sounding equally bewildered, he responded, “That’s what I’m saying! I don’t know!”

Lakers fans were visibly upset by Edwards’ admission, with many wondering if the Timberwolves star was making a joke to get under the skin of the visiting team and their fans. Of course, after LaRavia finished with a season-high, it’s safe to assume Edwards learned his name after the game. While Reaves posted a team-leading 28 points for the Lakers, LaRavia’s performance provided the necessary support in a tough contest.

That being said, the Timberwolves and Edwards are facing a significant roadblock with his hamstring injury. As the cornerstone of the team’s success, his absence could hamper their early-season standing in a competitive Western Conference. The team will undoubtedly miss Edwards’ explosive style of play.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Edwards will be out for a considerable amount of time. “Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will miss two weeks with a right hamstring strain, sources tell ESPN,” Charania wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Currently, the Wolves are ranked 11th in the Western Conference with a 2-3 record.
