WATCH: Stephen Curry Steals the Show at Warriors’ Summer League Game in Adorable Viral Video With Son, Caius

The Chase Center may have hosted a Summer League matchup on Saturday (July 5) night, but the real star saw the action from the sidelines. Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry turned heads in the stands, thanks to a heartwarming courtside moment with his youngest son, Caius Curry.

As the NBA offseason rolls on, Curry continues to savor quality family time, and fans can’t get enough of the adorable father-son duo in Warriors colors.

Stephen Curry and Son Caius Soak in Summer League Spotlight

Curry’s presence always draws a crowd, whether he’s on the hardwood or not. This time, it was at the California Classic Summer League at Chase Center, where the Warriors edged out the Los Angeles Lakers in an 89–84 win. Curry was spotted courtside with Caius Chai Curry on his lap, waving to fans and soaking in the love from Dub Nation.

In a video that quickly made the rounds on social media, Curry can be seen smiling and waving his hand at the crowd present in the arena as the screen flashes his legendary stat line: most three-pointers in NBA history with 4,058 made shots. Even while sidelined, the four-time champion continues to be a magnetic figure in the league, no doubt.

Curry’s solo dad moment comes just weeks after he and Ayesha Curry celebrated Caius’ first birthday in May. Recently, the couple enjoyed a beach getaway in Mexico, where Ayesha shared a candid photo on social media of Steph shirtless — another slice of normal life for the Curry family between off-seasons and NBA calendars.

On Saturday, though, it was back to basketball. Curry was all smiles as he watched the young Warriors squad take the floor. His youngest, in a Warriors-colored burp cloth, looked every bit the part of the franchise’s next-generation fan.

Warriors Beat Lakers, But Second-Round Picks Sit Out

On the court, the Summer League game gave fans their first taste of what’s to come from the Warriors’ next crop of talent. But they have to wait a little longer to see two of the more intriguing names that the Warriors drafted in the 2025 NBA Draft in action.

Second-round picks Alex Toohey and Will Richard were held out of the Warriors’ Summer League opener due to draft-day trades still pending official league approval. According to the team, both players will be cleared to suit up once those trades are finalized on Sunday.

The Lakers started hot, building a 19–11 lead after the first quarter, but the Warriors rallied behind strong bench contributions to take the win. While the Summer League is a time for teams to test out young talent and assess roster depth after the NBA Draft, it also marks a quiet but meaningful time for veterans like Curry.

The 2025 playoffs ended in disappointment for the Warriors and their superstar. Curry suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves and was ruled out for the remainder of the series. Golden State lost 4–1, a tough blow in what was expected to be a deep postseason push.

Still, Curry’s courtside cameo suggests he’s staying engaged with the squad. Both teams will be back on the court Sunday: the Lakers face the Miami Heat at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Warriors taking on the San Antonio Spurs at 6:30 p.m. ET.
