Stephen Curry Sums Up His 1st Season as Teammates With Seth Curry With a Hilarious New Nickname: ‘Rehab Brothers’

Four months after signing together, Stephen Curry and Seth Curry have played zero games as teammates due to a string of injuries.

When the Golden State Warriors signed Seth Curry on December 1, 2025, the idea of the two Curry brothers sharing an NBA roster for the first time generated plenty of excitement. Four months later, they have not played a single game together, and Stephen Curry has a name for what their first season as teammates has actually looked like.

Stephen Curry Calls Himself and Seth Curry the ‘Rehab Brothers’ Amid Ongoing Injury Setbacks

The Warriors traveled to Madison Square Garden on Sunday, March 15, to face the New York Knicks. They lost the game, 110-107. Stephen was courtside watching, sidelined with patellofemoral pain syndrome, an official diagnosis for right knee pain and inflammation.

The injury has kept the Warriors’ primary offensive engine out since January 30. The three-point king has now missed 17 straight games. On Wednesday, the Warriors announced he would be re-evaluated after another 10-day recovery period, the third consecutive 10-day window since the injury occurred.

Seth’s situation added another layer to an already frustrating picture on Sunday. He sustained an adductor strain after colliding with Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo on a 50/50 ball in the Warriors’ previous outing and was ruled out against the Knicks.

It was another setback for the younger Curry, who had only just returned on March 9 after missing nearly three months with a left sciatic nerve issue following his last appearance on December 4. He has played just four games in a Warriors uniform since signing with the team.

With both brothers on the sideline at the same time, Stephen summed up their first season together in one line.

“We’ve been the rehab brothers, which is not a good time to have that,” Curry said while talking with the broadcasters from the sideline.

The broader picture for the Warriors is equally difficult. Beyond the Curry brothers, the Warriors have lost Draymond Green and Al Horford to injuries, leaving the roster severely depleted. The Warriors have lost five straight games and sit at 32-35, clinging to the ninth seed in the Western Conference. In the 17 games Stephen has missed, the Warriors have gone just 5-12.

A season that began with genuine excitement around the prospect of the Curry brothers finally sharing a roster has turned into something neither of them could have anticipated. They are still waiting for that moment, and right now, there is no clear timeline for when it will come.

The Warriors’ next game on a critical six-game road trip is against the Washington Wizards on March 16. Both Curry brothers remain sidelined, with Seth set to be re-evaluated in a week and Steph awaiting his next evaluation around March 21.
