From comedy legend Adam Sandler to NFL podcasters, or even the very lucky sister of a Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman, it seems as though there were a lot of invitations handed out for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding. What about Stephen Curry?
The 38-year-old future first-ballot basketball Hall of Famer has rubbed shoulders with icons of all kinds. But is he tight enough with Kelce or Swift to be invited to what felt like the wedding of the century?
Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift Wedding Invite Wasn’t Extended to Stephen Curry
When Curry isn’t draining shots from what looks like impossible distances with ease, he can often be found on the golf course, relaxing his mind. After all, that’s what the offseason is all about: taking some time to decompress after a stressful 82-game regular season.
Recently, Curry was approached on the golf course and asked a brief series of questions. One of them was whether he was blessed to receive an invite to the popular Kelce-Swift wedding.
Unfortunately, while Curry is lucky, he wasn’t that lucky.
“Nice to have friends in all different types of places, but that invite didn’t come my way,” Curry said.
Right after, Curry was asked whether fellow basketball icon and current free agent LeBron James would be joining him on the Golden State Warriors. Curry didn’t have much to say, simply responding with, “That will handle itself.”

That presumably refers to the Warriors’ front office handling James’ recruitment process. After all, the 22-time All-Star should already know what Curry brings to the table after partnering on Team USA in 2024.
Or, maybe Curry knows something no one else does regarding the ongoing James free-agency sweepstakes. Could the pair of veteran superstars soon be teammates in the Bay Area?
The Warriors are reportedly one of five finalists still alive in the chase for the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. For whatever reason, James’ free-agency saga isn’t something Curry is sweating over.
As for the non-invite to the power couple’s wedding? Curry didn’t seem too bothered by it either. He mostly seemed focused on his next shot at the golf course.
