Scottie Barnes Fantasy Outlook: Should You Draft the Toronto Raptors Small Forward This Year?

Should you draft Scottie Barnes in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Toronto Raptors small forward.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Scottie Barnes this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Toronto Raptors Small Forward.

Should You Draft Scottie Barnes in Fantasy Basketball?

This is a talented, albeit top heavy, Raptors team that desperately needs Scottie Barnes’ development to pick back up after a plateau season in 2025.

We know he’s a 19-8-6 type of player that is involved at both ends and that’s great. That is what makes him a plenty reasonable third round pick and the efficiency can bounce back, we could see him flirt with second round value.

After a career-high 34.1% conversion rate from distance in 2024, Barnes made just 27.1% of his triples in 2025, struggles we can’t pin on a single cold stretch (under 30% on 3’s in every full month of the season).

If his supporting cast (namely Immanuel Quickley and Brandon Ingram) can stay on the floor, it stands to reason that his quality of FGA will increase and all logic would then project a more efficient season.

Of course, a fully healthy Toronto team would also take some usage off the plate of this former fourth overall pick, so there’s a bit of yin-and-yang to this profile. His ceiling isn’t near that of a LaMelo Ball, Chet Holmgren, Ja Morant, or even Jalen Johnson, all of whom are being drafted within 10 picks of him, but I’d argue that the meat of his production bell curve checks in higher.

Plucking Barnes off the board in the third round is as much about the roster you have built and plan to build around him as it is your trust in the player himself.
