Russell Westbrook can make major NBA history in Friday's game between the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns.

On Friday evening, the Sacramento Kings will play the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.

The Kings are coming off a 120-106 loss to the Boston Celtics (at home).

Russell Westbrook finished the loss with ten points, three rebounds and six assists while shooting 3/11 from the field and 2/9 from three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.

In Friday’s game against the Suns, Westbrook can make major NBA history.

Via The NBA: “RUSS AND THE BIG O: Sacramento Kings guard Russell Westbrook enters tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns (9pm/et, NBA League Pass) needing 17 points to pass Oscar Robertson (26,710) for 15th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Robertson and Westbrook are also linked as the first two players to average a triple-double for a season. The milestone would come one week after Westbrook passed Magic Johnson for seventh in career assists.”

Westbrook is in his 18th NBA season (and first with the Kings).

The future Hall of Famer is averaging 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 42.3% from the field and 35.3% from three-point range in 34 games.

While Westbrook has been solid, the Kings are among the worst teams in the entire NBA.

They come into play as the 14th seed in the Western Conference with an 8-26 record in 34 games.

In addition, the Kings are in the middle of a three-game losing streak (and 2-8 over their last ten).
