When it comes to NBA debates, few are as heated as the GOAT conversation between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. But in one area, there’s been little dispute that Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter the game has ever seen.
His influence has reshaped basketball, stretching defenses beyond comprehension and making the 3-pointer the sport’s most dominant weapon. That is, until controversial sports analyst Rob Parker lobbed a verbal grenade into the basketball world, suggesting Curry’s shooting legacy was more myth than reality.
Fans Not Happy With Rob Parker’s Recent Remarks on Stephen Curry
Parker’s recent take sent shockwaves through NBA fandom when he boldly declared Curry unworthy of the “greatest shooter” title, citing a perceived inability to perform under pressure. The veteran commentator doubled down by stating he would choose Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, and even Michael Jordan over the Warriors’ superstar when the game was on the line.
“He’s just not the greatest shooter of all time. That’s where we’re going to put this… When you call someone the greatest shooter, it means under any circumstance, you would want them to have the ball when you need a basket. I don’t care what they all say,” said Parker.

There have been a lot of bad takes in the NBA. For example, Stephen A. Smith’s take on Bronny James resulted in a feud with LeBron James and constant backlash from the NBA community. Similarly, this opinion of Parker is being referred to as one of the worst takes by the Warriors fans. “Have you been searching for the worst NBA take ever?” wrote one fan.

If Parker had done a little research, he’d have found an endless reel of Curry’s cold-blooded daggers. Take, for instance, his iconic Game 4 performance in the 2022 NBA Finals, where he dropped 43 points against the Boston Celtics to shift the series in Golden State’s favor.
One follower was quick to point it out and wrote, “All he had to do was type a few words into Google, YouTube or Chat GPT and show proof of Curry hitting ‘big shots’ LOL.”

Despite never competing in the Olympics before, Curry made his debut in the 2024 Paris Games, and he didn’t disappoint. He averaged 14.8 points per game while shooting 50% from the field and 47.8% from 3-point range, leading Team USA to the gold medal.
In the final, he knocked down multiple deep 3s to close out France, proving yet again that his shooting transcends any stage, any competition, and any pressure. The same was mentioned by a user as he wrote, “Did the man not watch the Olympic Games??? Like gtfoh.”

Despite the overwhelming backlash, Parker’s take did find pockets of support among certain basketball circles as one fan commented, “I agree with that take completely,” whereas another follower said, “It’s a bad take but nowhere near the worst ever.”

Even in the current NBA season, Curry continues to showcase his elite shooting ability. He is averaging over 24.2 points per game while shooting above 39.4% from 3, reinforcing his status as the most consistent long-range shooter in history.
At this point, doubting Curry’s legacy as the greatest shooter ever isn’t just an unpopular opinion—it’s a refusal to acknowledge reality. While every analyst is entitled to their own perspective, dismissing Curry’s impact and clutch performances is not a hill worth dying on.
The backlash from fans makes it clear: if you’re looking for the worst NBA take ever, Rob Parker may have just delivered it. However, while Warriors fans are busy snubbing Parker, bad news is looming over their head.
Stephen Curry out for an Indefinite Period of Time Due to Injury
Since adding Jimmy Butler to their roster the Golden State Warriors achieved 15 victories from 18 games. With Butler’s arrival the Warriors became a top Western Conference team as they achieved 41-29 while demonstrating better team defense and offensive variety.
However, after winning against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday the Warriors encountered a critical setback when Curry suffered an injury during the game.
Curry encountered a devastating blow to his tailbone while accidentally crashing into Raptors rookie Jonathan Mogbo. The impact made Curry fall in an unbalanced way while his tailbone took the brunt to absorb the blow before hitting the floor
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Curry was eager to return to the court but, to avoid any risks, the management decided to conduct further medical tests before making any decisions regarding his comeback.
“He was trying to come back. He thought he might be able to come back, and we just decided not to risk anything,” said Steve Kerr (as per NBC Sports).
Kerr reported that Curry will undergo an MRI test, however, players suffering from tailbone injuries of this nature miss anywhere between three to ten games.
With just 12 games left before the playoffs, the Warriors will likely have to navigate their next stretch of games without their star player, a challenge that could impact their postseason positioning.
