Injuries, however, are a vital part of each team’s campaign, especially in the postseason, because a healthier, more injury-free team has a better chance of winning the series.

Both teams have players on the injured list heading into Sunday’s crucial encounter. Cleveland has one player on the mend, while Detroit has three players not at full health for the do-or-die clash at 8 p.m. ET.

Detroit Pistons Injury Updates

  • Kevin Huerter, G, Day-to-day
  • Duncan Robinson, F, Day-to-day
  • Caris LeVert, G, Day-to-day

Per Rotowire, Huerter is questionable for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals due to a left adductor strain. The 6-foot-6 guard is a game-time decision (day-to-day) heading into Sunday’s game after missing Game 6. Huerter appeared in Game 5 of the series, playing 3 minutes and recording 1 assist.

Robinson is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game because of lower-back soreness. He missed Game 5 of the Pistons-Cavaliers series but returned in Game 6 on Friday, scoring 14 points off the bench and helping Detroit secure a 115-94 win that tied the series.

He has shot 43.9% from the field, including 44.7% from beyond the arc.

His day-to-day status may be precautionary, as LeVert has logged significant minutes in the Pistons-Cavaliers clash.

Cleveland Cavaliers Injury Updates

  • Larry Nance Jr., F, Day-to-day

Cavaliers forward Nance is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pistons due to an unspecified short-term illness.

Both teams can still revise the health status reports for every player on the injured list before tipoff. They could still play for their respective teams, with their postseason chances on the line.
