WATCH: Pascal Siakam Consoles Emotional Thomas Bryant as Pacers Clinch ECF Title vs. Knicks

After Thomas Bryant had a solid performance in Game 6 and became emotional, Pascal Siakam came in to save the day by consoling the center.

Having an NBA champion on an inexperienced side works wonders for the player’s confidence – Pascal Siakam means that to the Indiana Pacers. He rallied his teammates around in a viral video on social media and gave a crash course on what a player must do to win a championship.

Those words of wisdom could have done wonders for Thomas Bryant, who performed spectacularly in Game 6 against the Knicks. He came off the bench to score valuable points after struggling with injuries for so long in his career. Thus, after the match, another viral video surfaced on social media.

Pascal Siakam Brings His Leadership Role to the Pacers

Besides his scoring capabilities, Siakam brings his leadership characteristics to the team. Excluding those ridiculous efficiency numbers, Siakam always comes up big during demanding moments. But the player needs help, and Bryant steps in. The center scored 11 points, including three crucial three-pointers to give the Pacers a significant advantage.

With all the injuries he suffered, it became a moment of redemption for Bryant, as he became emotional at the end of the game. The videos showed him hunched down on the scorer’s table, hitting it several times, and he couldn’t contain his emotions.

Considering the gruesome injuries he went through, it must have been satisfying for Bryant to prove his naysayers wrong.

In the end, Siakam, the leader, came in to speak with Bryant and probably gave him a pep talk regarding his first appearance in the NBA Finals. Checking into the game for Myles Turner, Bryant provided the Pacers with the perfect cover for non-Turner minutes.

Although he averaged 6.9 points in the regular season, Bryant was one of the best talents to come into the NBA. Nonetheless, he became an unfortunate soul who suffered in his career because of dreadful injuries.

Bryant Revitalized His Career With the Washington Wizards

Despite arriving in the NBA in 2017 and debuting with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant found it challenging in his rookie season. Later, he earned a move to the Washington Wizards, where he revitalized his career, starting from his sophomore season.

In those first three seasons with the Wizards, Bryant clocked in 22.8 minutes and averaged 11.8 points as a 23-year-old. He had 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game and shot at an impressive FG% of 64.3%. He could play solid interior defense, but his offensive output inside the paint gave the scouts a reason to look at his talents.

Dangerous inside the paint and looking for an offensive rebound in every game, Bryant did what was needed.

But it all went down when he suffered a partial ACL injury in 2021 when the Wizards played the Miami Heat. Since then, his career has not been the same. Bryant missed the rest of the season, and his scoring numbers dropped after returning to the court.

In all fairness, he has a home in Indiana right now. After all, all those pains would have probably led to this moment, and Bryant could play a crucial role in the NBA Finals.
