The 2024–25 NBA Playoffs have been nothing short of electric. We can say that the first-round showdown between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers has been one of the most thrilling.
The series began with Denver’s nail-biting overtime win in Game 1 (112-110), but the Clippers bounced back strong by claiming Games 2 and 3 to take a temporary lead. Just when it looked like the momentum had shifted, the Nuggets retaliated by winning Games 4 and 5, including a dominant 131-115 victory in Game 5.
That win was powered by Jamal Murray’s explosive 43-point performance and Nikola Jokić’s consistent all-around play. Now, with Game 6 tipping off tonight in California, all eyes are on whether the Clippers can even the series or if the Nuggets will advance.
Nuggets and Clippers Players’ Status For Game 6
According to the latest injury update, the Nuggets have only one player listed as “out,” forward DaRon Holmes II. However, his absence will not impact Denver’s game plan, as he has been sidelined since before the start of the postseason and was not a part of the Nuggets’ rotation.
The healthy roster condition enables Denver to depend on their elite pairing of Jokić and Murray for their success. Jokić has delivered 25.4 points per game throughout the postseason while offering his signature combination of scoring, rebounding, and top-level playmaking abilities. Murray has been equally crucial, averaging 24.6 points per game this postseason and showing he can rise to the occasion when it matters most, just like he did in Game 5.
Los Angeles Clippers Status vs. Denver Nuggets
The Clippers are in a similar position to Denver when it comes to injuries. The latest report lists only one player as “out,” guard Seth Lundy. Like Holmes for the Nuggets, Lundy has been out since before the playoffs began and was not part of the rotation, so his absence won’t shift the Clippers’ game plan.
The Clippers will look to their veterans to deliver. Kawhi Leonard has been solid throughout the series, averaging 25.2 points per game while James Harden has added 19.2 points per game and continues to help the offense.
