Jokić’s connection to horse racing runs deep. Raised in Sombor, Serbia, his passion for harness racing began long before his basketball career took off. By age 13, he was already skipping basketball practices to spend time at racetracks.

Even after securing the NBA title in 2023, Jokić famously preferred discussing his horses over the championship. That trend has continued into the 2025 offseason. He remains in Serbia, enjoying the break while staying close to the sport he considers his first love.
