Westbrook entered the night with averages of 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 43.1% from the field and 36.1% from three-point range in 31 games.

With the loss, the Kings dropped to 8-24 in 32 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Western Conference.

They are just 3-14 in the 17 games they have played on the road.

Following the Lakers, the Kings will play their next game on Tuesday when they visit the LA Clippers.

Westbrook spent part of two seasons playing for the Lakers (2021-23).

In that span, he had averages of 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field in 130 games (81 starts).

As for the Lakers, they improved to 20-10 in 30 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak (and they are 8-5 at home).

Following the Kings, the Lakers will play their next game on Tuesday when they host the Detroit Pistons.
